Septic Bed Remediation Solutions in Kitchener and Surrounding Areas

Septic Flushing
Over time solid material from the septic tank can move through the septic system and settle out in the distribution pipes of the septic bed. Accumulation of this solid material can reduce or prevent proper drainage of water through the system and lead to backups. A septic bed flushing uses high-pressure water to clear out the accumulated material from the pipes and restore the flow of water through the system. Our specialized equipment uses a high-pressure jetting nozzle combined with a vacuum truck to remove the buildup of material and vacuum it away to be disposed of properly. A septic flushing can also be effective at removing root infiltration from nearby trees or shrubs.
Bio-treatments
Over the life of a septic system, wastewater, carrying organic material from decomposing waste in the septic tank, moves through the system. This organic material can begin to settle in the drainage layer of a septic bed or in the native soil under the bed. A septic flushing cannot reach beyond the distribution piping so we must treat this type of accumulation differently. Using biological treatments, we are able to help naturally break down the accumulation of this problematic buildup and restore the function of a septic system's drainage layer. These same treatments can be helpful to reduce unpleasant odours that may be occurring around a septic system or even inside the house

Terralift System
When your septic system has stopped functioning properly, and it seems like the only option is a complete replacement, it’s time to review effective alternatives that may add life to an older septic system. These solutions may include flushing out accumulated sludge from the distribution pipes, biological treatment of drainage materials, soil aeration (Terralift) applications, or other customized solutions to help extend the life of your existing system. A septic bed remediation can usually be completed for 10%-30% of the cost of a replacement system and can extend the life of a system by up to 15 years (depending on existing conditions)
Bio Aeration Systems (BAS)
Most septic system failures are partially caused by the clogging of biomat, which is the mixture of solid matter and bacteria that travels from the septic system and into the leaching field. One way to break up the biomat is by introducing aerobic bacteria.
Using the Bio Aeration System, we introduce aerobic bacteria into your septic system and leaching field. These bacteria break down solid waste, making clogs less likely.
A bio-aeration unit is a unit that resides in the bottom of your septic system and grows bacteria that digest septic waste.
Weber Environmental Services can install a bio-aeration system or other bacterial technology, which can be used as an alternative to replacing the entire septic system. Give us a call to learn more.
